Renowned for its commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability, Soucy continuously pushes the boundaries of technology to deliver high-performance products that meet the evolving needs of its global clientele. The company fosters a collaborative and dynamic work environment where innovation and excellence are at the core of its operations, making it an ideal place for professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in their careers.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join Soucy’s dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee multiple large-scale projects, focusing on the development, industrialization, and launch of new thermoforming products. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to optimize processes, improve safety measures, and enhance overall productivity. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a passion for manufacturing innovation and project management to lead ambitious initiatives that shape the future of our industries.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with proven expertise in project management and process optimization. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly plastics processing methods, will be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across teams, and a keen interest in learning new manufacturing techniques. Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies is essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to the launch of new thermoforming products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
Coordinate internal stakeholders involved in the industrialization phases, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across departments.
Guide the product development team to align design processes with manufacturing capabilities and occupational health and safety (OHS) best practices.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, utilizing performance metrics to track progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
Participate actively in optimizing manufacturing processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, safety, and product quality, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies throughout all project phases.
Document project activities, prepare reports, and present updates to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.

Benefits

Flexible work arrangements including flexible schedules, compressed workweeks, and hybrid remote work options to support work-life balance.
Comprehensive group insurance plans tailored to your needs, covering health, dental, and vision care.
An RRSP program with employer contributions to help you build a secure financial future.
Access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and telemedicine services for your well-being and peace of mind.
A $2,000 referral bonus to encourage you to bring talented professionals into our team.
Company-paid membership dues for the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), supporting your professional development and licensing requirements.
Paid time off for illness, personal needs, or family reasons, ensuring you have time to recharge and attend to personal matters.
Participation in social activities and team-building events to foster a collaborative work environment.
Support for ongoing professional growth through training programs, workshops, and career advancement opportunities.
A safe and healthy workplace environment monitored by a dedicated health committee to prioritize your well-being.
Exclusive discounts on Kimpex products, allowing you to indulge your passion for motorsports and outdoor activities.

Soucy is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or background.
