About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple large-scale projects, ensuring that each meets the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for managing projects from conception through to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical expertise to optimize equipment and processes. Your role will involve analyzing project requirements, designing mechanical solutions, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a DEC in Mechanical Engineering with more than five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential for designing and modeling mechanical solutions. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, possess a solid understanding of machine safety, and be capable of taking ownership of projects from start to finish. Excellent communication skills are required to explain technical concepts clearly to team members. Fluency in French, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Additionally, familiarity with the MS Office suite and a strong knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments will be advantageous. Knowledge of the rubber industry is considered an asset, which can further enhance your contribution to our projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and conduct technical studies to develop feasible solutions.
• Design, develop, and validate mechanical concepts through research, calculations, and technical analyses.
• Create detailed mechanical models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
• Manage engineering projects from initial requirements analysis through procurement, manufacturing, installation, and production launch.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders including suppliers, production teams, and management to ensure project milestones are met.
• Provide technical support to teams, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of equipment and processes.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and propose sustainable corrective actions.
• Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout their lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation and reports related to project progress and technical specifications.
