With a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, Soucy has established itself as a trusted partner for clients seeking durable and innovative products. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and contribute to groundbreaking projects that shape the future of manufacturing technology.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Soucy. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple large-scale projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with quality standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing capabilities. Your leadership will be instrumental in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects that significantly impact our product lines and industry standing, allowing you to demonstrate your expertise and grow within a forward-thinking organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with proven expertise in project management and familiarity with related tools and methodologies. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and adapt to new manufacturing processes are essential. Knowledge of plastics processing methods will be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with the product development team to guide design processes based on manufacturing capabilities and occupational health and safety (OHS) best practices.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all activities related to the launch of new thermoforming products, including resource allocation and performance monitoring.
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and performance metrics to ensure efficient execution and comprehensive project integration.
Coordinate internal stakeholders across various departments involved in the industrialization phases, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Participate actively in optimizing manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, safety, and product quality.
Lead and support continuous improvement projects to enhance existing product lines and manufacturing efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout all project phases.

Benefits

Flexible work arrangements including flexible schedules, compressed workweeks, and hybrid remote work options tailored to your needs.
Comprehensive group insurance plans that adapt to your personal and family circumstances.
Employer-sponsored RRSP with contributions to help you build a secure financial future.
Access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and telemedicine services to support your health and well-being.
Referral bonus of $2,000 for successfully recommending qualified colleagues to join our team.
Coverage of membership dues for the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) to support your professional development.
Paid time off for illness, personal needs, or family reasons to maintain work-life balance.
Participation in social activities that promote team bonding and a positive work environment.
Support for ongoing professional growth through training and development opportunities.
A safe and healthy work environment managed by a dedicated health committee to ensure your well-being.
Discounts on Kimpex products, fueling your passion for motorsports and recreational activities.

Equal Opportunity

Soucy is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, age, disability, religion, or background. We believe that a diverse team enhances our creativity, innovation, and overall success. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply and join our dynamic organization dedicated to excellence and growth.
