About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and customer service to troubleshoot product failures, develop testing protocols, and implement corrective actions. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability and performance of our solutions, reinforcing Ecolab’s reputation for excellence and innovation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a proactive mindset to identify root causes and drive quality improvements across our product lines.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a solid educational background with relevant industry experience. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, product testing, or related fields is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, actuators, mechanical assembly, and proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing is advantageous. Knowledge of 3D modeling software like SolidWorks, and experience with testing electro-mechanical systems, will set candidates apart. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot product failures by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective measures.
- Develop, write, and execute comprehensive test plans to validate product performance and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and 8D reports for failure analysis and continuous improvement.
- Communicate technical findings and updates to customers, ensuring transparency and timely resolution.
- Design and develop test fixtures and software solutions to streamline testing procedures and improve efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, failure analyses, and corrective actions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide quality feedback during product development stages.
- Support process validation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Continuously monitor product quality metrics and implement improvements to enhance overall product reliability.
