The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Candidates should have between 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, failure analysis, or product testing. Legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, actuators, mechanical assembly, and proficiency with technical drawings and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, familiarity with electro-mechanical testing equipment, and experience with root cause analysis and corrective action development are highly valued. Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to travel up to 10% of the time are also important for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot product failures by analyzing data and identifying root causes to improve product reliability.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to verify product performance and identify potential issues early in the development cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement corrective and preventative actions, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Document failure analysis using NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and 8D reports, providing detailed insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Communicate technical findings and updates to customers, supporting transparency and strengthening client relationships.
  • Design and develop test fixtures and software solutions to streamline testing processes, reducing cycle times and increasing accuracy.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, recommending process enhancements, and supporting new product launches.
