The company designs and manufactures cooling solutions used by major technology organizations around the world.

About The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will help protect product quality and customer satisfaction by investigating product failures and driving effective corrective and preventive actions. You will work with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to identify root causes, communicate findings, and support continuous improvement.
This position combines practical testing, technical analysis, documentation, and collaboration. You will develop and execute test plans, use appropriate measurement equipment, and contribute to test fixtures and software solutions that make testing more efficient. Your work will support reliable products and CoolIT’s ongoing innovation and growth.
Qualifications
You will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with three to five years of quality-related work experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Strong candidates bring experience setting up and using data acquisition systems, sensors, and actuators, as well as hands-on ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical components using common hand tools. You should be able to interpret technical drawings, inspection plans, and product specifications, and understand manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, extrusion, welding, additive manufacturing, and surface treatment.
Additional assets include familiarity with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks; experience with bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, logic analyzers, and multimeters; and a track record of testing and qualifying electromechanical parts or systems. Experience with root-cause analysis, 8D reporting, and corrective and preventive action recommendations is valuable. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required. The role may involve travel of up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot product failures and investigate quality issues using structured problem-solving methods.
- Write and execute test plans to determine failure causes and verify product performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare nonconformance (NCR) and 8D documentation to clearly report analysis, findings, and actions.
- Provide customers with timely, clear technical updates throughout failure investigations.
- Design test fixtures and software solutions that improve the speed and effectiveness of test execution.
- Apply engineering judgment and attention to detail to support consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
