Sustainability and innovation are at the core of our mission, driving us to create a better and more sustainable future. Joining Sacré-Davey offers an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization committed to impactful and environmentally responsible engineering solutions.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in mining to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams in delivering complex capital projects within the mining and mineral processing industries. This role involves managing projects throughout their entire lifecycle - from initial studies and proposal development to detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to define strategic execution plans, identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks, and ensure project objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing mining and heavy industrial projects, including mineral processing facilities and related infrastructure. Familiarity with NI 43-101 technical studies and the ability to act as a Qualified Person (QP) or collaborate with QPs for technical reporting are essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence project success and contribute to sustainable mining solutions that align with our company's values of innovation and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering disciplines such as Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Mining Engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in delivering large-scale capital projects in the mining or mineral processing sectors. Proven experience managing projects with a total installed cost (TIC) of up to $200 million is required. Candidates should have supported or led technical study phases including Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA), Prefeasibility Studies (PFS), and Feasibility Studies (FS). Strong skills in project controls, scheduling (using MS Project or similar tools), budgeting, and cost forecasting are essential.
Furthermore, candidates must demonstrate success in managing project risks, change management processes, and maintaining excellent client relationships. Experience contributing to or overseeing NI 43-101 technical reports or studies is highly valued. Eligible candidates should be qualified to act as a QP under NI 43-101 or have significant experience working closely with qualified professionals. Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and client locations as necessary are also important.
