🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Backend Developer | Fintech
📍 Location: 340 King St. East, Toronto, ON
💼 Type: Permanent full time
🏢 Work Model: 5 days/week in office
💰 Compensation: $150K–$180K + Equity/Stock Options
⚡ Hiring: Fast-moving interview process with decisions often made within 7–8 days.
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the core engineering team and help build the financial infrastructure powering high-volume, mission-critical transactions.
Must Haves:
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience
- 3+ years of experience in fintech, payments, or financial technology
- Strong experience with Node.js/NestJS, TypeScript & PostgreSQL
- Experience with ledger systems, double-entry bookkeeping, or financial data modeling
- Proven experience scaling backend systems handling high transaction volumes
- Experience with GCP - Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run
- Experience integrating financial/payment APIs
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or similar regulatory frameworks
Nice to Have
- Terraform / infrastructure automation
- Real-time payments or instant settlement experience
- Open banking / financial data aggregation
- Experience in a high-growth fintech environment
