Drive Growth Across British Columbia's Industrial Sector as a Business Development Manager in Fluid Handling Solutions

Are you a hunter-driven sales professional with a passion for building relationships and developing new business? Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand market share across British Columbia, with a strong focus on mining, energy, aggregates, and industrial customers. This autonomous, field-based role offers the opportunity to represent industry-leading fluid handling products, develop strategic accounts, and play a key role in a growing organization's long-term success.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities across the territory
Grow key accounts through strategic account planning
Generate upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers
Prospect and qualify new leads to maintain a healthy sales pipeline
Conduct customer site visits and equipment assessments
Gather requirements and support the preparation of technical quotations
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity updates
Collaborate with internal teams and supplier partners to deliver solutions

Position Requirements

Demonstrate 5+ years of success in industrial sales or business development
Sell industrial products such as pumps, valves, motors, hydraulics, or related equipment
Apply a consultative, value-based selling approach
Exhibit strong hunter mentality and new business development skills
Build long-term customer relationships and grow strategic accounts
Work independently while managing a large territory
Utilise CRM systems and Microsoft Office effectively
Hold a valid passport or visa for occasional U.S. training travel

Responsibilities

Develop new business and grow strategic accounts across British Columbia's mining, energy, aggregates, and industrial sectors. Prospect and qualify leads, assess customer needs, support technical quotations, maintain CRM records, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.

Requirements

Requires at least five years of successful industrial sales or business development experience, including selling products such as pumps, valves, motors, or hydraulics. Candidates should have a consultative selling approach, strong prospecting and account-growth skills, the ability to manage a large territory independently, CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency, and a valid passport or visa for occasional U.S. training travel.
