Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Marketing Director in the Power Sports, Marine & Recreational Products Sector in Barrie, Ontario.

Are you a strategic marketing leader ready to take full ownership of a major consumer brand in the powersports space? This is a rare opportunity to lead national marketing strategy, shape brand direction, and build high-impact campaigns across a diverse product portfolio including motorcycles, ATVs/powersports, and marine products.

Reporting directly to the President, this role will be responsible for developing and executing the Canadian marketing strategy, growing brand awareness, increasing dealer engagement, and driving retail traffic through an established dealer network. You will lead a high-performing marketing team while influencing business growth at a national level.

Total Rewards:

$155,000 - $165,000 annually

A Typical Day:

Develop and execute national marketing and advertising strategies
Lead Canadian brand positioning while aligning with global marketing objectives
Manage marketing budgets, forecasts, ROI measurement, and campaign performance
Develop programs that drive retail traffic, customer acquisition, and sales through independent dealerships
Oversee dealer marketing programs, co-op advertising initiatives, sponsorships, events, and promotions
Partner closely with dealers to support local market growth and strengthen dealer engagement
Lead the development of product marketing materials, retail programs, and sales support tools
Analyze campaign performance and continually improve marketing effectiveness
Manage agency relationships, external vendors, and key marketing partners
Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing professionals

You Bring:

15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including strategy development, budget ownership, and team leadership
Proven experience building and growing consumer brands through dealer, distributor, retail, or channel-based sales networks
Strong background in consumer product branding, product marketing, and go-to-market strategy
Experience developing dealer-focused marketing programs that drive retail traffic, customer acquisition, and sales growth
Experience managing large marketing budgets, national campaigns, and integrated marketing programs
Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing marketing teams
Expertise across both traditional marketing channels (events, sponsorships, trade shows, dealer programs) and digital channels (CRM, social media, eCommerce, analytics)
Strong stakeholder management across executive leadership, internal teams, dealers, distributors, and external partners
Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and strategic-thinking skills
Experience working with dealer co-op advertising programs, channel marketing initiatives, or distributor marketing programs is considered a strong asset
Proven experience within the powersports, motorcycle, marine, recreational vehicle (RV), agricultural equipment, construction equipment, heavy equipment, or automotive OEM industries with significant dealer-network responsibility

Demonstrated success building and growing a brand in Canada
Experience creating marketing programs that drive sales through independent dealerships
Experience supporting and growing dealer, distributor, or channel networks
Strong track record developing national marketing strategies and go-to-market plans
Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution
Able to lead, coach, and develop an in-office marketing team

This role is best suited to candidates who have experience marketing products through dealer, distributor, or channel-based sales networks. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily focused on SaaS, professional services, financial services, digital marketing, or agency environments without significant dealer-network or product-marketing experience may not be aligned with the requirements of this opportunity.
