Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Power BI & Power Platform Administrator in the oil and gas sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI & Power Platform Administrator to own and evolve their enterprise Power BI environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys platform administration, governance, user enablement, and driving adoption at scale. This is not a report development position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Power BI infrastructure, gateway connections, security and governance models, and capacity administration, including ongoing migration initiatives within Microsoft Fabric.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Power BI infrastructure, gateway connections, security and governance models, and capacity administration, including ongoing migration initiatives within Microsoft Fabric.
Responsibilities
- Own and administer the enterprise Power BI environment, including gateways, connections, permissions, and governance.
- Manage Power BI Premium/Fabric capacities and support ongoing platform optimization and migration initiatives.
- Administer Power Platform environments including Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, and Copilot.
- Evaluate and implement Microsoft Power Platform feature releases, governance standards, and self-service improvements.
- Lead monthly Power Platform community sessions, providing training and guidance to citizen developers across the organization.
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI administration experience, including gateway management, connection governance, and capacity management.
- Experience supporting Power BI in a large enterprise environment with the ability to speak to user base, scale, and platform ownership.
- Experience with Power Platform administration (Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, or Copilot) is considered a strong asset.
- $50.00 - $55.00 hourly
- Contract duration: 12 months
- Location: downtown Calgary
- Monday to Friday, full time hours, hybrid work model
- Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and a genuine interest in building a career within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience delivering training, workshops, or user enablement sessions.
