Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process engineering activities on SAGD and thermal oil sands projects
• Manage process engineering scope, schedules, deliverables, and priorities
• Oversee development of process simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P&IDs
• Support project execution from feasibility studies through commissioning and start-up
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and technical discussions
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while maintaining quality and safety standards

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Possess a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
• Demonstrate extensive process engineering experience within the oil and gas industry
• Bring significant experience supporting SAGD and thermal oil sands projects
• Have proven success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Show experience within EPCM, consulting, or owner-operator environments
• Demonstrate expertise supporting projects from studies and FEED through start-up
• Exhibit strong knowledge of Aspen HYSYS, process design, and thermal oil sands facilities
