AGM Tech Solutions, on behalf of our client, a Global Technology Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Toronto, Canada.
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Hybrid: Onsite 3 days per week
Role: Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer who is strong in Java and full-stack development and has experience building modern, cloud-based, event-driven enterprise applications.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and support scalable enterprise applications across backend services and user-facing applications.
- Build Java microservices and REST APIs using Quarkus and/or Spring Boot.
- Develop and optimize data-intensive solutions using SQL and relational databases.
- Build event-driven integrations and streaming solutions using Kafka and potentially Apache Flink.
- Develop modern user interfaces and micro-frontends using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Deploy and support applications in AWS environments.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, QA/SDET engineers, and distributed development teams.
- Establish reusable frameworks, development standards, and technical patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, quality, and test coverage.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java development.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and/or Quarkus, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience.
- Full-stack development experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Kafka, distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, or event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on AWS experience.
- Ability to own technical solutions from design through deployment and production support.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Quarkus and/or Apache Flink experience.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) exposure.
- Node.js or Python experience.
- Experience developing AI agents, Generative AI integrations, or AI frameworks.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, or framework development experience.
