Provide supporting analysis for root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conforming products or lab related processes.
Ensure preventative maintenance and replacement program for lab equipment is maintained, and that laboratory safety standards are met.
Lead internal audits and prepare the site for external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Train and mentor QC staff, ensuring they are proficient in testing protocols, quality procedures, and food safety standards.
Provide feedback regarding testing capabilities integrated with specification requirements and new product and process development.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve product consistency and food safety.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends related to quality control, including lab efficiency, product performance, and testing accuracy.
Act as the main point of contact during customer, regulatory, and third-party audits for QC related responsibilities.
Assist in the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality control.
Ensure continuous quality improvement by analyzing quality trends and implementing quality process improvements.

Provide feedback and reports to management team regarding quality performance, technical efficiencies, and cost saving opportunities.

What we are looking for to deliver these results:

Proficiency with Excel; knowledge of SAP considered an asset.
Knowledge of dairy processing considered an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English. (English is required to work with colleagues in other Canadian provinces.)
