Job Title: Marketing & Merchandising Manager (Fashion)

Job Type: Full-Time (3-days in office in Toronto, ON)

Job Description:

We are looking for a Marketing & Merchandising Manager with a strong understanding of women’s advanced contemporary fashion and a keen merchandising instinct to co-lead and execute our marketing efforts across channels.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, performance, product, and merchandising, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will work closely with the Design & Brand Team to understand the product, seasonal direction, customer, and commercial opportunities, translating these insights into cohesive, high-performing marketing and merchandising initiatives.

The ideal candidate understands how customers discover, consider, and purchase fashion. They can identify the products and styling stories most likely to drive desire, help shape compelling line assortments, and use Shopify to improve product discovery, recommendations, and cross-selling opportunities. This is a strategic, high-impact role for a self-starting, nimble marketer who can drive measurable results, solve problems proactively, and support growth across digital, retail, and traditional platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Fashion Merchandising & Product Strategy

Partner with the Design Team to review seasonal collections and develop compelling line assortments informed by brand direction, customer demand, historical sales, and market opportunities.
Identify hero products, category opportunities, assortment gaps, and complementary product groupings to support revenue goals and create stronger seasonal product stories.
Analyze product, category, size, colour, inventory, and sell-through performance, using these insights to adjust merchandising and marketing priorities throughout the season.

Shopify & E-Commerce Merchandising

Manage and optimize Shopify merchandising with the Brand Team, including collections, product positioning, product tagging, and the presentation of seasonal launches.
Build and maintain related-product recommendations, “complete the look” groupings, and cross-selling opportunities to support product discovery, conversion, and average order value.
Review online customer journeys and shopping behaviour to identify opportunities to improve navigation, collection pages, product pages, and the overall e-commerce experience.

CRM & Email Marketing

Own and execute the email marketing calendar across product launches, promotions, seasonal stories, and lifecycle communications using Brevo or Shopify.
Use segmentation, purchase history, engagement data, and product affinity to deliver more relevant messaging and product recommendations.
Develop and optimize strategies that increase retention, repeat purchase rate, average order value, and customer lifetime value.

Seasonal Marketing & Sales Strategy

Collaborate with the Design & Brand Team to develop and execute seasonal marketing plans from pre-launch through end-of-season sale.
Align campaigns with product drops, inventory flow, merchandising priorities, customer demand, and revenue targets.
Translate seasonal collections into compelling product stories and adjust product focus, messaging, and promotional support based on in-season performance.

Paid Media Strategy & Execution

Work closely with paid media partners to develop and refine campaign strategies across platforms such as Meta and Google.
Contribute to creative strategy, product selection, messaging alignment, and performance tracking for paid campaigns.
Ensure media investment supports priority products and categories while balancing measurable revenue generation with long-term brand positioning.
Review Media Partner content submissions and ensure brand alignment across all create assets.

Retail Marketing

Partner with retail management to align marketing and merchandising initiatives with in-store sales goals and seasonal targets.
Develop strategies to drive foot traffic, product discovery, and conversion during launches, events, and key retail periods.
Use store feedback and customer observations to identify product preferences, purchasing barriers, and emerging opportunities.

Influencer & Seeding Strategy

Develop and manage influencer partnerships that align with the brand’s identity, target customer, and seasonal objectives.
Plan product-seeding strategies that support key launches, hero products, and priority categories.
Evaluate partnerships based on audience fit, content quality, engagement, awareness, and conversion performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a key liaison between the Design & Brand Team, retail management, leadership, and external marketing partners.
Bring customer, sales, inventory, and product-performance insights into seasonal planning and decision-making.
Ensure all marketing and merchandising initiatives remain consistent with the brand’s voice, visual identity, and commercial objectives.

Budget & Performance Management

Own and manage the marketing budget, allocating spending across brand and performance initiatives based on business priorities.
Plan, forecast, and track spending on a monthly and seasonal basis in alignment with sales targets, inventory priorities, and product launches.
Establish performance benchmarks and reporting frameworks, translating results into actionable recommendations for future marketing and merchandising decisions.

Qualifications:

3–6+ years of experience in fashion marketing, e-commerce, or merchandising, preferably within women’s advanced contemporary or luxury fashion
Strong understanding of fashion merchandising, seasonal line assortments, product lifecycle, and customer purchasing behaviour
Experience analyzing product, category, customer, and sales data to identify actionable commercial opportunities
Hands-on experience with Shopify, including collection merchandising, product organization, and product-recommendation or cross-selling tools
Strong experience with CRM and email platforms (Brevo or Klayvio or Shopify preferred)
Proven track record managing paid media strategy (Meta, Google, etc.)
Experience with influencer marketing and seeding strategies
Deep understanding of seasonal fashion calendars and product lifecycle
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and organizational skills
