Technical Support Manager - A220 Prefal

Job description :

Do you have technical support experience? Have you worked in the aerospace industry and are looking to grow and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is seeking a Technical Support Manager for A220 Prefal to join our Technical Support team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). In this role, you will work closely with the technical support team and production managers.

You will be part of the TSFS (Technical Support Floor Support) team, responsible for addressing technical issues that exceed the direct control of operators and First Line Managers (FLM), while focusing on identifying, analyzing, and solving recurrent technical challenges. Providing an end-to-end (E2E) perspective at the shop floor level within the production team is a crucial aspect of this role.

Our team structure is designed to promote autonomous cross-functional collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.

Your Role

As a Technical Support Manager, you will manage ME Production Support for the A220 Prefal and serve as the "Voice of the HO ME" (Head of Manufacturing Engineering) toward the CDTs (Core Delivery Teams). You will integrate ME Development, Build Processes, SLB, Jigs & Tools (J&T), Site Services & Maintenance, as well as Digital and Industrial Innovations.

Your Profile:

You hold an academic and/or technical degree in aerospace and/or management with approximately ten (10) years of experience.
You demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
You have a proven track record of managing technical projects to ensure optimal product industrialization.
You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Vos défis:

Gérer le support à la production ME pour l'A220 Prefal

Être le porte-parole du ME auprès des CDTs pour tous les aspects de développement, processus et innovation.

Développement ME / SOI (Standard Operating Instructions)

Gérer les besoins concernant les ordres de fabrication (Work Orders) et les demandes de modification de méthodes en tant que leader technique local sur chaque station.

Processus de Fabrication et SLB / PPE

Assurer la performance du SLB (Synchronized Line Balancing).
Soutenir l'exercice R@R (Run @ Rate) pour préparer la montée en cadence (ramp-up).
Remonter les problèmes de processus industriels ou les opportunités d'amélioration pour éviter les perturbations.

Outillage (J&T) / Services de Site & Maintenance

Assurer la mise en œuvre, l'escalade des améliorations et les demandes de modification pour l'outillage, la maintenance et l'aménagement de l'usine (layout).

Innovations Numériques et Industrielles

Soutenir la feuille de route digitale et l'introduction de nouveaux outils.

Responsabilités Additionnelles

Gérer les relations avec les fonctions externes et parties prenantes.
Assurer la cohérence des opérations au sein du programme A220 par l'échange de meilleures pratiques.

Maintenir un haut niveau de connaissances techniques malgré le roulement de personnel et l'intégration des nouveaux opérateurs.

Contribuer à l'image de marque de l'entreprise par un environnement de production de haut standard.
Piloter les plans d'amélioration de la performance (ramp-up, réduction des cycles, convergence des coûts).

Votre profil:

Vous détenez une formation scolaire et/ou technique en aérospatiale et/ou en gestion avec environ dix (10) années d'expérience;
