The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for 1 composite technician to join our tooling department team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work with tooling method agents

You will be part of the tooling team responsible to support the production and work in conjunction with the tooling method group.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as a composite technician will be to assess, plan, and perform composite repairs on various parts of the aircraft, both on-aircraft and in the workshop.

Understand and interpret engineering requirements.
Assess and make recommendations for necessary repairs.
Coordinate with different trades to carry out repairs.

Mastery of composite materials: Expertise in handling carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and various resin systems (epoxy, polyester, phenolic).
Repair techniques: In-depth knowledge of wet lay-up, prepreg draping, and structural bonding methods.
Blueprint reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings.
Surface preparation: Sanding, grinding, cleaning, and chemical preparation of damaged surfaces prior to applying repairs.
Vacuum bagging and curing: Mastery of vacuum bagging techniques and curing cycles (using ovens, infrared lamps, heating blankets, or autoclaves).
Use of specialized tools: Safe and precise handling of pneumatic and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges).
Inspection and diagnostics: Ability to assess the extent of damage (delamination, cracks, impacts) through visual inspection.
Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.

Le programme d'avions commerciaux A220 recherche 1 poste de technicien en composite pour rejoindre notre équipe outillage basée à Mirabel (Québec, Canada), où vous travaillerez avec l’équipe outillage.

Vous ferez partie de l’équipe outillage chargée de supporter la production.

L'organisation de l'équipe est établie de manière à promouvoir la collaboration transversale de manière autonome, en se soutenant mutuellement et en apprenant collectivement.

Votre rôle en tant que composite sera d’évaluer, de planifier et de procéder à des réparations composites sur différentes parties de l’avion, sur avion et en atelier.

Votre profil:

Formation requise :

DEC technique OU DEP (Diplôme d'études professionnelles)
Maîtrise des matériaux composites : Expertise dans la manipulation de la fibre de carbone, de la fibre de verre, du Kevlar et de divers systèmes de résines (époxy, polyester, phénolique).
Techniques de réparation : Connaissance approfondie des méthodes de stratification (lay-up) humide, de drapage de préimprégnés (prepreg) et de collage structural.
Lecture de plans : Capacité à lire et interpréter avec précision des dessins techniques
Préparation de surface : Ponçage, meulage, nettoyage et préparation chimique des surfaces endommagées avant l'application des correctifs.
Mise sous vide et cuisson : Maîtrise des techniques d'ensachage sous vide (vacuum bagging) et des cycles de polymérisation (utilisation d'étuves, de lampes infrarouges, de couvertures chauffantes ou d'autoclaves).
Utilisation d'outils spécialisés : Maniement sécuritaire et précis d'outils pneumatiques, électriques et d'instruments de mesure de précision (pied à coulisse, micromètre, jauge d'épaisseur).
Inspection et diagnostic : Capacité à évaluer l'étendue des dommages (délaminage, fissures, impacts) par inspection visuelle
