We are seeking an experienced Operations Shift Trainer to develop, deliver, and maintain competency-based training programs that support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This position will play a key role in preparing Operations personnel for commissioning, start-up, and ongoing facility operations while fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs for Operations personnel aligned with site standards and operational objectives.
- Design and maintain competency frameworks, qualification programs, and development plans.
- Deliver classroom, field-based, simulator, and on-the-job training.
- Evaluate and assess operator competency through observations, assessments, and coaching.
- Mentor and develop Operations personnel at various stages of their careers.
- Support commissioning, operational readiness, and plant start-up activities.
- Develop and maintain training materials, qualification records, and learning documentation.
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to identify training needs and close competency gaps.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5-10+ years of Operations experience within Oil & Gas production facilities.
- Previous experience as an LNG Operations Technician.
- Experience supporting Operations Readiness, Commissioning, and Start-Up activities for an LNG facility.
- Proven experience delivering technical training and developing employees in an industrial environment.
- Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate/Diploma.
- Experience creating competency programs, qualification systems, and workforce development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of process safety principles and plant operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with training documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APCI LNG Technology experience is considered an asset.
- Assessor Certification is preferred.
- ICS Certification and emergency response experience.
- Experience in LNG commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness programs.
- Additional technical, instructional, or adult education certifications are advantageous.
- Experience working in highly regulated industrial environments.
