Location: Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, Canada
This opportunity supports maintenance and operations activity within an oilfield service environment, with a focus on equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and rapid response to operational demands. The role is centred on advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, and power systems. This position also contributes to maintenance efficiency, asset uptime, and continuous improvement across both shop and field-based operations.
Required Education
- Journeyman Automotive, Heavy Duty, or equivalent mechanical trade qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield operations or industrial mechanical maintenance
- Experience with oilfield service equipment and machinery
- Background in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of field equipment
- Experience supporting shop and field-based maintenance activities, including emergency repairs
- Advanced diagnostic, maintenance, and repair capability across diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, fluid handling equipment, generators, and power systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and computerized diagnostics
- Welding and fabrication knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills
- Leadership, coaching, and team support capability within a maintenance environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- H2S Alive, Standard First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, CSTS or equivalent safety certification
- Red Seal certification
- Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License (considered an asset)

Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty oilfield equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, fluid handling equipment, generators, and power systems. Support shop and field operations through preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment reliability improvements, and coaching of maintenance team members.
Requirements
Requires a journeyman automotive, heavy-duty, or equivalent mechanical trade qualification and at least five years of oilfield operations or industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
