🚨 Specialist Engineering I&C | Fort McMurray, AB 🚨
Are you an experienced OT Network & Infrastructure professional looking to work in a complex industrial environment supporting critical automation systems?
We are seeking a Specialist Engineering I&C to join a Regional Automation – Network & Infrastructure team supporting large-scale oil sands operations in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
🔹 Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support OT (Operational Technology) networks, communication systems, and firewalls
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial network infrastructure
- Support automation and process control systems across operating facilities
- Perform system monitoring, preventative maintenance, and reliability improvements
- Commission and implement new network infrastructure projects
- Troubleshoot network and cybersecurity-related issues
- Participate in on-call support as required
- Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and cybersecurity standards
🔹 Requirements:
✅ 8+ years of system administration experience with networks and firewalls
✅ Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
✅ Strong experience with OT Networking and Industrial Firewalls
✅ Cybersecurity knowledge and OT security best practices
✅ Experience troubleshooting and implementing network equipment in industrial environments
✅ Background supporting Process Control Systems, Industrial Networks, Automation Systems, or Critical Infrastructure environments

📅 Full-time position

Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize OT networks, communication systems, firewalls, and infrastructure supporting automation and process control systems at operating facilities.
