Our client is seeking an experienced Turnaround Planner to support turnaround planning activities across multiple operating facilities. This role will be responsible for developing detailed turnaround plans, work packages, and schedules to ensure safe, efficient, and successful outage execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed turnaround work scopes, job plans, and execution schedules.
- Prepare comprehensive work packages, including labor requirements, materials, tooling, permits, contractor resources, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, and contractor teams to define and prioritize turnaround scope.
- Identify critical path activities and optimize schedules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all required materials, parts, and resources are available prior to turnaround execution.
- Support turnaround readiness reviews and planning meetings.
- Provide field planning support during turnaround events and assist with schedule recovery as required.
- Monitor progress against schedule and support issue resolution throughout execution.
- Maintain planning and scheduling information within Maximo and/or Primavera P6.
- Participate in post-turnaround reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of industrial maintenance, planning, or turnaround experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing major turnarounds, outages, and shutdowns.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning processes, work management, and equipment maintenance.
- Experience developing detailed work packages and execution plans for maintenance activities.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel to site as required.
Preferred
- Experience supporting gas plants, terminals, pipelines, fractionation facilities, or related midstream assets.
- Previous owner-operator experience/EPC experience
- Mechanical trade, technical, or engineering background.
- Experience with schedule development, resource loading, and critical path analysis.
