Akelius Foundation is looking for a part-time Project Assistant to support projects and partnerships activities.

The role involves a mix of research, outreach, project follow-up, reporting support, practical and technical tasks.

key responsibilities

research potential partner organizations and identify relevant contacts
support outreach to prospective partners and maintain follow-up and partnership tracking
follow up with existing partners on monthly reports and required documentation, and conduct an initial review for completeness and consistency
assist with tablet setup, inventory, basic troubleshooting, and other technology-related project needs
support data collection, organization, and other Foundation project tasks as needed

profile

We are looking for someone who is

organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
proactive and comfortable following up with people
a strong online researcher who can identify and organize relevant information efficiently
tech-savvy, comfortable learning new digital tools and troubleshooting basic technical issues
comfortable working with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other digital platforms
able to communicate professionally with external organizations
able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and work independently while knowing when to ask for guidance

Previous experience or interest in nonprofit organizations, education, international development, research, or project support is an asset.

Strong written and spoken English is required.

French is highly desirable, and Spanish is a strong asset.

à l'aise avec la technologie, ouverte à l'apprentissage de nouveaux outils numériques et capable de résoudre des problèmes techniques de base
à l'aise avec Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams et d'autres plateformes numériques
capable de communiquer de façon professionnelle avec des organismes externes
capable de gérer plusieurs tâches et échéances et de travailler de façon autonome, tout en sachant quand demander conseil
expérience ou un intérêt pour les organismes à but non lucratif, l'éducation, le développement international, la recherche ou le soutien de projets constitue un atout.
bilinguisme en français et en anglais. La maîtrise de l'anglais, à l'oral comme à l'écrit, est requise puisque ce rôle communique régulièrement avec la clientèle partout au Canada. La connaissance de l'espagnol constitue un atout important.
