Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys turning business needs into well-built software. Someone who brings curiosity to a problem, takes pride in their work, and cares about the people using what they create.

The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving AKIERO’s web applications, client portals, CRM tools, and business system integrations. This role spans frontend and backend development, with a focus on creating secure, reliable, and intuitive experiences.

Working closely with stakeholders across design, marketing, and business operations, you’ll translate requirements into practical technical solutions. You’ll contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.

You’ll also help guide technical decisions, improve application performance, and identify opportunities to use AI and automation to simplify workflows and support the organization’s evolving needs.

As a Full Stack Engineer at AKIERO, you will:

• Develop web applications: Build and maintain responsive interfaces and backend services using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Connect business systems: Develop APIs, webhooks, and integrations that connect websites, CRM tools, client portals, and third-party platforms.
• Implement AI and automation: Integrate AI capabilities and automated workflows where they provide practical value, with attention to accuracy, privacy, and reliability.
• Own feature delivery: Take features from requirements through deployment, communicating progress, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs.
• Collaborate across disciplines: Work with design, marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet user needs and operational goals.
• Protect client data: Implement secure authentication, appropriate permissions, input validation, and reliable separation of data between organizations.
• Improve performance and reliability: Troubleshoot issues across the stack, optimize database queries, and strengthen application monitoring and error handling.
• Maintain quality: Write readable code, develop meaningful tests, document important decisions, and contribute to maintainable development practices.
• Evaluate technical solutions: Assess existing platforms and third-party services alongside custom development to recommend an appropriate approach.

Required qualifications include:

• A bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full stack web applications.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, including practical experience with React and Node.js.
• A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and web accessibility.
• Experience building REST APIs, integrating third-party services, and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AI tools and APIs, including their practical use in applications and business workflows.
• Knowledge of secure development practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, debugging, and application deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate the underlying cause of technical issues.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

• Our development tools: Fastify, Prisma, Drizzle, and Tailwind CSS.
• Cloud and deployment: CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring.
• Business applications: CRM platforms, client portals, API Integrations, and workflow automation.
• AI integrations: Building features using large language models, structured outputs, or retrieval from business data.
• Client collaboration: Gathering requirements, explaining technical options, and translating feedback into product improvements.
