About this opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Data Migration SME to lead enterprise-scale data migration initiatives supporting major technology modernization programs. This role will be responsible for designing, governing, validating, and executing complex migration activities while ensuring data integrity, quality, security, and successful business outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in large-scale data migration, Microsoft Fabric architecture and implementation, Azure data technologies, Python, SQL, and Master Data Management (MDM). This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned data professional who thrives in highly regulated enterprise environments and can work effectively with business and technology stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

• Define, review, and validate end-to-end data migration strategies, plans, governance frameworks, and execution activities.
• Design and support migration solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and related Azure technologies.
• Develop and review migration, validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes using Python and SQL.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and readiness assessments.
• Lead Master Data Management (MDM) activities to ensure consistency, standardization, and quality across enterprise systems.
• Validate migration scripts, ETL/ELT processes, reconciliation results, and testing activities.
• Support mock migrations, cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-migration validation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate migration, governance, and data quality risks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, vendors, and system integrators to deliver successful migration outcomes.
• Provide expertise and guidance on migration best practices, governance, and quality assurance processes.

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of experience leading large-scale data migration and data integration initiatives.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Python, and SQL.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise migration strategies and solutions.
• Experience implementing or supporting Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Deep understanding of data quality, data governance, reconciliation, validation, and migration best practices.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and legacy-to-cloud migrations.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services or insurance is considered an asset.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Fabric platform implementation and deployment experience.
• Experience migrating data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and/or Dataverse.
• Azure certifications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting large enterprise transformation programs.
