A leading organization is seeking an experienced Workday Absence Led to support a key enterprise transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of Workday Absence solutions while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver effective workforce management processes.

About this opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Absence Lead with deep expertise in Workday Global Absence implementations and business process design. The successful candidate will lead the planning, design, configuration, and deployment of Workday Absence solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and organizational objectives.

This position is ideal for a strategic functional leader who combines strong Workday expertise with business transformation experience and the ability to drive successful implementation outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Absence solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.
• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced employee experience.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, define future-state processes, and drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between Workday Absence and related business functions.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Workday Global Absence functionality, best practices, and deployment strategies.
• Develop and document business process designs, functional specifications, and implementation deliverables.
• Support organizational change management activities, including training materials, end-user enablement, and adoption strategies.
• Monitor project milestones, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution and high-quality outcomes.
• Partner with project leadership and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and implement scalable business solutions.

What You Bring:

• Workday Absence Certification (required).
• 5+ years of experience leading or supporting Workday Absence deployments and implementations.
• Strong expertise in Workday Global Absence configuration, business processes, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in business process design, process improvement, and functional solution delivery.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end HR and workforce management processes.
• Experience conducting requirements gathering workshops and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Proven ability to lead functional workstreams and collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within complex enterprise transformation or HR systems implementation projects.

Nice to Have

• Experience with broader Workday HCM modules and integrations.
• Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies and solutions.
• Knowledge of organizational change management principles and training development.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
• Previous consulting experience supporting large-scale Workday transformations.
