Job Opportunity

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting the following challenging position to join our operations team:

Mobile Maintenance Superintendent

Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a long-term track record of creating value for all stakeholders through solid financial performance, low-cost production growth, and a company-wide commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. We currently operate three mines – two in Canada and one in Mexico – and we have a strong portfolio of development stage projects, including the Lynn Lake Project and Island Gold Phase 3+ Expansion in Canada, and Puerto Del Aire Project in Mexico. Alamos also has an early-stage exploration project in Canada, the Qiqavik Gold Project. Our core values of safety, teamwork, environmental sustainability, integrity, and commitment allow our more than 1,900 dedicated team members to thrive in their careers and to create a lasting legacy that benefits all Alamos stakeholders.

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. This is a very exciting time at Young-Davidson, and we are searching for highly motivated and committed people to join our team!

If you are willing to be part of a team that is dedicated to growth, high performance and a culture of safety and accountability, we would like to hear from you!

Join Us in Driving Reliability and Performance in Underground Mining!

Are you passionate about mobile equipment maintenance and operational excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, safety-focused mining environment? If you are an experienced maintenance leader who excels in team development, asset reliability, and continuous improvement, we want you on our team!

Role Overview

As Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a strategic leadership role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance of Young-Davidson Mine's mobile equipment fleet. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors responsible for approximately 80–100 employees and contractors.

Working closely with Operations, Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain, OEM partners, and contractors, you will drive maintenance excellence, maximize fleet performance, and support production objectives while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Maintenance Supervisors while fostering a positive, engaged, and accountable workforce.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Fleet Reliability & Performance: Develop and execute maintenance strategies that maximize equipment reliability, availability, and overall fleet performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, OEMs, and contractors to effectively balance maintenance requirements with production commitments.
Continuous Improvement & Asset Management: Monitor maintenance KPIs, lead root cause failure investigations, manage budgets, and support long-term fleet replacement and asset management strategies.

What You Bring to the Table

Minimum 10 years of progressive maintenance experience in underground mining or heavy industrial operations.
Demonstrated success leading maintenance supervisors and large maintenance teams within a safety-focused environment.
Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Mechanical Engineer, or equivalent trade certification and experience.
Strong knowledge of underground mobile mining equipment, planned maintenance practices, and asset reliability principles.
Experience working with SAP or comparable CMMS
Experience managing operating and capital budgets.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Passion for developing people, improving maintenance performance, and driving operational excellence.

Why Join Us?

Be part of an organization that values safety, accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
Opportunity to lead a critical function supporting one of Canada's premier underground mining operations.
Work alongside experienced leaders and highly skilled teams committed to operational excellence.
Influence fleet performance, asset reliability, and long-term maintenance strategy.
Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Ready to make an impact? Apply today and bring your leadership, maintenance expertise, and passion for reliability to Young-Davidson Mine while helping drive the future success of our operation.

This is an existing vacancy.

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
