Original job description

Health can’t wait.

Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.

Alan exists to end the wait.

Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.

So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.

We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.

Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.

🚀 Your mission

As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for full sales cycles from prospection to onboarding.

Most of your meetings will be with Founders, or Heads of HR or Finance.

You’ll understand their pain with incumbent insurers and connect that to how a 100% digital solution can help close critical gaps in the health system.

You’ll build relationships through outbound, hosting community events, attending conferences, writing content online & any other channel that increases your empathy and understanding of the market’s challenges.

You’ll share what you hear from prospects & customers so we adapt our product to best serve their needs.

You’ll work with marketing to build relevant campaigns, events, sponsorships and other initiatives.

You won’t wait for leads - you’ll go create them through action.

If you want to be handed a script & playbook on day one, Alan may not be the right fit for you. If you want to build with us, while we tackle these important challenges, you’re at the right place.

⭐️ Who you are ⭐️

You may be a great fit at Alan if you have:

2 to 8 years as an Account Executive in B2B tech sales
Full fluency in English required; French is a strong plus
Experience at all stages in the deal cycle (ex. prospection through contracting)

Nice to have:

You’ve moved from SDR or BDR to AE faster than your peers
You’ve overachieved your quotas
Experience working at a high-growth company
Experience selling to HR or Finance leaders

Experience in either health or insurance
Experience winning deals in French
Comfortable with Feedback and a Coaching Culture

Your profile

Builder: opening new markets or verticals excites you. Writing the playbook is more exciting to you than reading one.
Ownership: you don’t sit back and wait, you go out and create value through action
Communication: love written communication & sweat the details
Initiative: you are OK to build your own decks, 1-pagers, and content. You don’t need a 100-person marketing team to make things happen.
Outcomes focused: no-ego doer & scrappy; you want to put your name on something meaningful in healthcare.
Thrive In-Person: our sales team works from the office 4-5 days a week - we believe proximity fuels collaboration and customer focus.

🙌 Perks & Benefits

Competitive salary + equity (grid level B1-D here)
No commission. It’s unusual, but it keeps us aligned with customers.
Please note that this role compensation model is made of a base salary + Equity (learn more)
You will need the LLQP license for the role. We cover the cost & give you the space you need to ace the exam
Monthly TTC Pass
Generous employer matching program for your RRSP
Delightful healthcare insurance: great benefits through Alan’s Canada app!

In office: amazing office space with free lunch, right in the heart of the financial district (King & Yonge) to work closely and collaboratively with your colleagues 4-5 days per week in-person!
Flexible leave policy: we trust Alaners to take the holidays they need, and no pre-approval is required.
Personal growth through coaching: At Alan, coaching isn't just a perk - it's core to who we are. Every Alaner is paired with a dedicated coach from day one, who helps maximize their impact, nurture engagement, and navigate Alan's values to develop their full potential. Learn more about our coaching culture.
Parental leave: extended parental leave for all new parents.

Important note: we hire people, not roles.

If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply as it can only bring learnings or success.

If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?

Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist.

We'll be thrilled to receive your application!
