Business Intelligence & Data Platform Developer
We are looking for a candidate to join our Business Process Improvement team. In this role, you will collect report requirements, create complex datasets, and create reports/dashboards. You will also ensure high performance of MSSQL databases through monitoring and maintenance, plan and implement backup strategies, ensure databases meet security standards, manage user access, provide guidance to other technical staff on existing database structures.

- Develop data sets for reporting tools and for other applications.
- Develop and customize reports.
- Write SQL Queries using internal and external data.
- Perform data quality and verification checks
- Perform software performance testing prior to solutions being released to production
- Solution documentation, creating training videos, training end-users on solutions, and monitoring solution usage to ensure adoption
- Support ticketing system for a variety of use cases, from quick fixes and permission control requests to more complex tickets for various systems including corporate ERP, SQL Queries, Power BI, others.
- Maintenance of existing solutions and responding rapidly to requests that ensure continuity of key business operations

- College or university degree in Computer Science or analytics related field
- Minimum 5 years experience

- Strong understanding of data security protocols
- Possess tact and judgement in dealing with stakeholders
- Must be able to respond to tight deadlines during peak periods
- Power BI and Excel (Advanced) – Required
- Writing and documentation skills - Required
- SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) – Required
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) – Required
- Database maintenance and optimization experience – Strong Advantage
- SQL Server Jobs monitoring & failures troubleshooting- Strong Advantage
- Proficient with SQL, M-query, and DAX – Required
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft Fabric: Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse/OneLake, data pipelines, semantic models, capacity optimization – Required
- Fabric: capacity management, Direct Lake semantic models, real-time alerts, data pipeline orchestration, and AI model integration – Strong Advantage.
- Office Script and VBA - Advantage
- Understanding of statistics and/or Lean methodologies – Advantage
- AutoML and/or custom ML model development – Advantage
- SharePoint administration - Advantage
