Your Opportunity:
Make a significant impact on patient-focused health care as a Nutrition Food Service (NFS) Administrative Support III. NFS is a provincial service that is committed to provide nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, staff, visitors and the community. Located in the town of Ponoka, within the heart of Central Alberta, you will provide a wide range of services that directly impact patient care as an Administrative Support III. You will be integrated as part of a dynamic team that includes Food Service Workers, Cooks, Supervisors, Managers, Dietitians and other interdisciplinary health care workers. Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury is one of the most modern mental health referral centers in Western Canada. The facility is not a traditional hospital, but rather a facility that provides specialized mental health and brain injury treatment and care. This position will be accountable for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality patient, resident and customer experience. Under the general supervision of a Food Services Supervisor, they will use strong customer service, teamwork and organizational skills to: Process diet order changes and print menus/tray tickets. Complete food and supply orders. Complete time entry. Secure replacement for staff absences. Complete month-end reports. Manage requests from units for food supplies. Confirm accuracy of and code invoices. Manage deposits, coin orders and float. Complete other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will be: Able to work in a fast paced environment with speed and accuracy. Able to work under pressure in high stress situations. Able to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and other hospital departments. Able to work as an effective, professional team member.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma in office administration or equivalent. Completed certification in Microsoft Office. Experience with basic financial procedures (month end, cash deposits, invoice coding). Experience with the following computer programs: CBORD, Meditech, Markview, E-People, iProcurement, and SyscoSource. 1+ years experience in a food service setting. 2+ years experience in a general office setting. Knowledge of dietetic terminology. Experience with scheduling, payroll time entry, and staff replacement.
