Your Opportunity:

This position provides administrative support to the Manager and Unit Manager Cardiac Sciences at Peter Lougheed Center with regard to the coordination of all staff-related activities within the unit/service area(s). This position liaises with multiple business areas within the region, e.g., Regional Staff Scheduling Services, People and Learning, Position Management, Business Advisory Services, Rotation Management and TSSI. The Liaison is responsible for ensuring that the business of staffing and scheduling on the unit operates effectively and efficiently, which in turn supports the manager(s) in providing quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous Clerk V Liaison experience within the last 2 years. Requires at least 1 year of Clerk V experience in a high-stress, highly demanding and multi-tasking work environment. Requires an extremely high degree of customer service, problem-solving, interpersonal skills and critical thinking. Payroll and or Human Resource experience required (specifically RMS and ESP working knowledge). High proficiency in computer skills. Excellent working knowledge and use of Windows, e-mail and Microsoft Excel. Previous experiences with payroll and or scheduling software. Excellent written/verbal communication, negotiating and interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Experience in using, interpreting and complying with union agreements is required. Understanding of pay/premium codes and their impact on payroll, budget and benefits is required. Must have demonstrated consistent attention to detail. Must demonstrate consistent and sound decision-making ability. Must be flexible in order to accommodate competing and changing workload demands. Must have the ability to work under pressure with significant mental/visual demands and handle competing and frequently changing priorities within tight deadlines.
