Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager of Surgery Program and working with minimal guidance and direction, the Scheduling Liaison utilizes substantial skills to coordinate the staffing and scheduling needs of the clinical area. This work requires extensive knowledge of collective agreements, scheduling and staffing processes, and unit specific needs. The role is responsible for carrying out duties efficiently and effectively and assist with improving practices to enhance service. The scheduling liaison problem solves issues and uses discretion to escalate to management as required. The scheduling liaison also provides administrative support to unit management across a range of duties. The successful candidate will rely heavily on their interpersonal communication skills and will enjoy providing outstanding customer service and developing strong relationships throughout the program. As the successful Scheduler your key responsibilities will include; filling pre-booked and immediate shifts that result from staff vacation, leave of absence, illness and education leave, anticipating staffing needs and informing managers of shifts that require further attention, entering data for payroll, providing scheduling reports, detailing records and compiling/providing statistical information. These duties will be completed in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and operation of MS 365 including Teams, Outlook, Word and especially Excel. Timekeeping/payroll experience. Knowledge of the applicable collective agreements and pay codes. Experience working in a unionized, health care and/or 24/7 environment. Experience with AHS scheduling software (WFM).
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year customer service experience. Minimum 1 year scheduling experience.
