As dynamic member of Environmental Services you will demonstrate genuine care and respect for clients, visitors and staff. You will be committed to substantiate quality care in performing various cleaning duties and preventive measures to reduce the spread of infections. Some accountabilities include passing and maintaining governed room inspections, devoted positive working relationships and respect confidentiality.
Description:
As an Environmental Services staff, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with cleaning and disinfecting clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments within a hospital or facility. Your typical duties may include sweeping, mopping and vacuuming; restocking supplies in bathroom facilities; stripping linen and making beds; operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration; thorough washing of ceilings and windows; emptying hazardous waste; and replenishing cleaning supplies and linens. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards to your Working Leader and you may also provide training or orientation to Environmental or Laundry staff.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs of force.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing environmental Cleaning duties in a hospital or institution. Knowledge and application of WHMIS. Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in the English Language, both written and verbal; and Basic computer knowledge.
