Responsibilities
Provide personal assistance and routine care to patients according to their care plans, including support with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety. Work with nurses, patients, families, and caregivers; assist with activities, observe and report changes in patients’ wellbeing, and help maintain a safe care environment.
Requirements
Applicants must be active or eligible to register or hold a practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta as a Health Care Aide. Proof of education or completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate is required within 18 months of hire; a driver's license and vehicle are also required.
