Your Opportunity:
This is a 6 month temporary position until the end of March 2027. You will be working with the Corporate Analytics Team within HIE to support eLeader, a Microsoft Fabric analytic tool. Your tasks will include, build, and maintain analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric components, including Lakehouse, Data Analytics, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Real‑Time Analytics, and Power BI. Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from a variety of structured and semi‑structured sources. Implement ELT/ETL patterns using Fabric notebooks, pipelines, SQL, Python and Spark as appropriate. Troubleshoot and maintain curated data models and semantic layers to support enterprise reporting and analytics. Data Validation and troubleshooting to support business inquiries and tickets. Support of Service Now ticket queue as well as MS ADO ticket triage.

As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience with Corporate Data: Workforce, Finance, CPSM. Hands‑on experience developing analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric or closely related Microsoft data platforms. Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, star schemas, semantic models). Proficiency in SQL and Python for querying and transforming data. Experience with Power BI, including dataset development and performance optimization. Familiarity with data integration concepts, ELT/ETL patterns, and pipeline orchestration. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, ADLS). Familiarity with Spark, Python, or notebooks for data transformation and analysis. Experience supporting self‑service analytics and data democratization initiatives. Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD practices for analytics solutions. Microsoft certifications related to data, analytics, or Power BI.
