Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the organization's shared vision and values.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must the able to work to full scope of practice (physically, mentally and emotionally) on this very busy fast paced General Internal Medicine Unit. Recent acute care Medicine experience required. Demonstrated excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads and work conditions. Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. Willingness to work on multiple units as operationally required. Ability to work independently while maintain collaboration with team members. Ability to respond to new needs in the role as they arise, with initiative and self-direction. Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years recent acute care nursing experience preferred. Recent General Internal Medicine experience preferred. Experience caring for medically complex patients preferred. Connect Care experience preferred.
