The Drumheller Health Centre is seeking a confident and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our rural hospital team. In this unique role, you'll be a vital member of both interdisciplinary team and the community, delivery high-quality, patient- and family centered care while building lasting connections. This position offers the chance to practice of the full scope of your profession in a collaborative, evidence-based environment. In our supportive team, you will provide care in multiple areas including acute care, labour and delivery, ICU, and emergency. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the organization's shared vision and values.
Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Acute Care, Obstetrics, Emergency, ICU Primary Location: Drumheller Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.62 Posting End Date: 05-NOV-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T Benefits Date Available: 16-NOV-2026 Temporary End Date: 16-MAY-2027 Hours per Shift: 11.08 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 26 Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years in Med/Surg/Acute Care environment within the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
As Required.
