Your Opportunity:
If you are a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who likes small town living, this position in Consort might be for you! As the successful candidate for this position, you will cover the Long Term Care department in Consort and model Patient and Family Centered Care. The LPN will be committed to providing open communication and feedback with respect for colleagues, care providers, patients and families. The LPN will also work as a member of a health care team, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of the patients/clients. The LPN participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. The Village of Consort is located in south central Alberta about 200 km from Red Deer. Consort is a village of opportunity committed to collaborating with its community and neighbors. It is primarily a farming and ranching community, with mixed crops and large cattle operations. The oil industry is also very active in the area. Consort has an active modern hospital and clinic (which is located within the hospital), steps away from the Emergency and Lab and X-Ray. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
