As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Computer skills including experience in Connect Care, Microsoft Outlook email. Must have completed the Peri-Operative course or have the equivalent of 3 years’ Operating Room experience. Minimum 1-year acute care experience.

Requirements
Applicants must complete an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program, hold or be eligible for an Alberta LPN practice permit, and have current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers certification. The role also requires Connect Care and Microsoft Outlook skills, completion of a peri-operative course or equivalent to three years of operating room experience, and at least one year of acute care experience.
