As a Registered Nurse (RN) serving the Tofield and surrounding area, you will play a key role in supporting individuals and families to achieve their health goals while maintaining independence and quality of life within their homes and communities. Reporting to the Home Care Manager, the RN practices in alignment with Assisted Living Alberta's strategic direction and the Continuing Care Case Management Competency Framework. Using a person-centered approach, the RN partners with clients and families to identify needs, build on strengths, develop meaningful goals, and coordinate services across the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive client assessments, developing and evaluating care plans, coordinating resources and services, implementing nursing interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, effective, and holistic care. The RN demonstrates stewardship in resource allocation and supports clients in accessing community services that promote health, wellness, and independence. The successful candidate will possess strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, organizational, and case management skills. Creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities are essential in this dynamic community-based role. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of nursing experience, including experience supporting geriatric populations, and at least two years of community-based nursing experience in Home Care, supportive living, or continuing care settings. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. The ability to complete comprehensive client assessments and effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment is essential. This role requires resilience and adaptability, including the ability to work under pressure, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and respond to changing client needs. Candidates must be physically capable of participating in direct patient care, including transfers and mobility assistance, as well as prolonged standing, walking, or sitting, repetitive movements, and regularly lifting and carrying up to 10-15 kg. References that verify the required qualifications, experience, and competencies must be provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Applications, interRAI Tools, Connect Care and ePeople. Active Registered Nurses with up-to-date certification.
