Central Porters must be able to understand and follow infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols, including wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for patients under IPC guidelines. The Central Porter participates in cleaning and disinfecting equipment between patient use and locating equipment and returning it to designated storage areas, such as wheelchair corrals and the Emergency Department or other areas of the site as requested.
