Service Worker II

Your Opportunity:

Working in a fast-paced environment. Turning over OR theaters after Cardiac procedures are completed. Cleaning, restocking and portering patients.

Description:

As a Service Worker II, you will be responsible for readying supplies, and cleaning/disinfecting instruments and specialty equipment for immediate use/reuse by healthcare staff. You will distribute and replenish patient care supplies, perform quality control tests on equipment and record maintenance data. You may also transport patients (clients/residents), equipment, lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required. In addition, you will ensure that patient care areas and other assigned areas are accurately stocked and that specialty equipment required by the healthcare staff is available.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg). Tolerate prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday. Regularly bend, twist, stoop, and move quickly within the clinical environment. Work effectively in a busy, dynamic, and occasionally noisy setting.
