Role Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows supporting enterprise and government environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on platform development experience, including building custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine, and the ability to deliver scalable solutions in collaboration with technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and customise ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and integrations.
• Build and maintain custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine and App Engine Studio.
• Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Support modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and Service Catalog.
• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP integrations and data import processes.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve defects, and improve application performance.
• Follow ServiceNow best practices to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and upgrade-friendly.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, platform upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of relevant ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow platform development.
• Hands-on experience building custom ServiceNow applications using App Engine and/or App Engine Studio.
• Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, GlideRecord, and Flow Designer.
• Experience developing ServiceNow integrations, APIs, and data management solutions.
• Familiarity with ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, or other ServiceNow modules.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, testing, debugging, and development best practices.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Active Canadian Government Secret security clearance required.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred; CAD or CIS certifications are an advantage.
• Must be based in or able to work within Eastern Canada, subject to project requirements.
