Job Description

Title: Security Guard - Casual

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Payrate: $19.87

Job Type: Casual

Shifts: Various Shifts - Open Availability Preferred

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard to oversee security operations at our Winnipeg sites. The ideal candidate is a seasoned guard having experience in handling vagrants with excellent communication skills, willing to work the mentioned shift, and able to manage the job requirements. If you have experience as a security guard, enjoy patrolling, is swift in computers and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirement:

• One year of experience in a guard role in security.
• Given shift availability.
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must have a valid Manitoba Security License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Efficient with computers, ensuring effective patrolling and site security.
• Responds to Emergency Situations such as fire, Medical Emergencies, Phone Threats, answers alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Completes monthly, weekly, and daily tasks assigned.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner.
• Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
