Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional in Simcoe, ON.

Position Title: Security Professional

Position Location: Simcoe, ON

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Status: Full-time

Shift: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays; (18:30-06:00) ; Rotating Shifts of 3 to 4 days each week.

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Security Professional in Hamilton, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in security.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 40 hours per week.
• Must be comfortable standing for the entire shift.
• Must be at least 21years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid ON Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate is a must
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  
  

Specific Duties Performed And Essential Functions :

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
