Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns.
- Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to tenants, residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Enforce property rules, regulations, and site-specific procedures.
- Assist with access control and visitor management as required.
- Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.
- Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with emergency services when required.
- Complete accurate reports, logs, and electronic documentation in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with property management and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Minimum 1–2 years of security experience, preferably in a commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use environment.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports.
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and security management systems.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Experience working at high-profile commercial, residential, retail, or mixed-use properties.
- Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and incident management.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
