Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional - Gatehouse Guard in Etobicoke, ON.

Job Title: Security Professional - Gatehouse Guard

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Type: Part -Time | Day Shift,

Pay Rate: $20.40 per hour

Positions: 2 vacancies

Shift Hours: 1:00AM to 11:00PM

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Security Professional - Gatehouse Guard to join our team in a gatehouse environment in Etobicoke, ON. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the facility, staff, and visitors. This position involves both indoor and outdoor duties, including long patrols across the facility and grounds. You will be expected to maintain a high level of customer service and demonstrate excellent access control skills. The ideal candidate will have strong communication abilities, a keen eye for security, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen all visitors and employees entering or exiting the facility. Ensure that proper security protocols are followed, including signing in/out and issuing access passes.
• Conduct long walk patrols throughout the facility and outdoor areas, monitoring entrances, parking lots, and perimeter fences. This may involve standing and walking for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by answering inquiries, assisting with directions, and addressing concerns in a professional and approachable manner.
• Document and report any security incidents, unusual activity, or safety hazards promptly, ensuring that all relevant details are recorded accurately for future review.
• Serve as the first point of contact for emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and other safety-related situations. Respond swiftly and effectively according to established protocols.
• Work closely with the warehouse team and management to ensure smooth operations and a secure working environment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security inspections, incident reports, and access control logs for compliance purposes.
  
  

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 1year of Security Gatehouse experience
• Ability to work outdoors and conduct long walking patrols in all weather conditions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have experience working in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle incidents calmly and professionally.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be at least 25+ years or older due to insurance purpose.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED, or equivalent work experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
  
  

Some driving may be required so a successful candidate MUST have the following:

• "G" Class Drivers License
• A clean drivers abstract
• Must be 25 years of age or older due to insurance purposes
