BIG ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW, SMALL ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU!

Allnorth is a multi-disciplinary engineering, project delivery, and construction services company delivering innovative, practical solutions to clients across the metals and minerals, energy and renewables, fiber and chemicals, and infrastructure sectors. With offices throughout Canada and the United States, we are continuing to expand our reach and build for the future.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our triple bottom line (TBL) philosophy, we strive to create value for our people, our clients, our communities, and our business. We believe that engaged, talented, and empowered teams are essential to delivering exceptional results and building lasting client relationships. Safety is fundamental to who we are, and we are committed to fostering meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, giving back to the communities where we live and work, and being responsible stewards of the environment.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in either our Saskatoon or Regina office. Our work combines technical excellence with innovative problem-solving to deliver practical engineering solutions that make a lasting impact on the industries and communities we serve. In this role, you’ll collaborate with clients, contractors, and a talented team of professionals to deliver a diverse range of projects from concept through to completion. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team of engineers, EITs, designers, and project managers who value fresh ideas, open communication, and working together to achieve great results.

A Day in the Life

Lead and contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for industrial projects.
Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and technical assessments to ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
Prepare and review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and engineering reports, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction and installation progress and verify compliance with design requirements and safety standards.
Develop practical, innovative engineering solutions that balance performance, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, support ongoing projects, and identify opportunities to develop new clients and projects for Allnorth.
Work closely with project managers, team members, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and expectations.
Manage engineering deliverables to meet established schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Proactively identify and resolve technical, scope, performance, and scheduling challenges in collaboration with project managers.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and professional development.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Saskatchewan, or eligibility for registration.
10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, ideally within an engineering consulting environment.
Experience in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for industrial projects.
Experience with mechanical equipment selection, sizing, specifications, and technical evaluations.
Knowledge of applicable national and provincial codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Experience coordinating mechanical designs with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with a commitment to supporting the professional development of team members.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
