Posting language: English

Original job description

BIG ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW, SMALL ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU!

Allnorth is a multi-disciplinary engineering, project delivery, and construction services company delivering innovative, practical solutions to clients across the metals and minerals, energy and renewables, fiber and chemicals, and infrastructure sectors. With offices throughout Canada and the United States, we are continuing to expand our reach and build for the future.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our triple bottom line (TBL) philosophy, we strive to create value for our people, our clients, our communities, and our business. We believe that engaged, talented, and empowered teams are essential to delivering exceptional results and building lasting client relationships. Safety is fundamental to who we are, and we are committed to fostering meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, giving back to the communities where we live and work, and being responsible stewards of the environment.

Why this role?

Bring your proposal expertise to a role where you can own the process and help make it better. You’ll lead submissions from planning and kickoff through final delivery, turning technical expertise into clear, compelling proposals alongside technical teams, business development, finance, and leadership. Beyond each deadline, you’ll help strengthen the templates, branding, and processes behind future pursuits. It is an opportunity to combine hands-on writing with proposal leadership and contribute to business growth across Allnorth’s engineering, project delivery, and construction services.

Our Ideal Candidate

You’ll thrive as a Senior Proposal Specialist on Allnorth’s Proposal Office team if you’re an experienced proposal professional who takes pride in developing clear, compliant, and compelling proposals. You know how to turn complex technical information into submissions that speak to what clients care about, and you enjoy working closely with technical teams, business development, finance, and leadership to get there.

You’re highly organized and stay steady when deadlines overlap. You communicate clearly, keep people moving without losing sight of the details, and are always looking for ways to make the next proposal better than the last.

A Day in the Life

Lead and coordinate proposal submissions, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
Manage the proposal lifecycle from planning and kickoff through final submission
Review bid documents to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to develop compelling and compliant submissions
Write, edit, and refine proposal content so clients can clearly understand the proposed approach, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality submissions
Support or lead ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring to the Team

10-12 years of proposal development, bid management, or related experience, preferably in Engineering, Consulting or Professional Services environments
Exemplary English writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn technical content into clear, persuasive proposals
Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams; experience with Adobe InDesign or similar tools is an asset
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Experience using AI tools to support content development and research is an asset
Familiarity with pursuit and / or capture management in a project and services-based environment is an asset

Your proposal development, writing, and stakeholder coordination skills are central to this role. Engineering, consulting, or professional services experience is preferred, while InDesign and AI-tool experience are assets - not requirements.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

We believe that when people feel valued, supported, and inspired, great things happen. That’s why we offer a range of benefits and opportunities to help you thrive, both personally and professionally.

Exciting Projects: Work on meaningful, challenging projects that spark your passion and let your talents shine
Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy a benefits package designed to support your health and well-being
Company RRSP Matching: Build your financial future with support from the company
Employee Assistance Program: Access confidential support and resources for you and your family

A Voice That Matters: Join a company that values your ideas, recognizes your contributions, and sees you as more than just a number
An Inclusive Culture: Be part of a respectful, welcoming team where relationships and collaboration matter
Career Growth: Access professional development and learning opportunities to help you reach your full potential
