Original job description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, responds to customer inquiries and ensures customers’ needs are met regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices & quotations, complaints, returns, shortages, adjustments, expediting and requests for literature. This position also handles all walk-in customers and their needs. This position will also provide support preparing customer orders in the warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Services incoming calls by taking and processing local orders, responding to technical questions, entering sales notes, and tracking shipments.
Promotes and maintains good customer relationships by servicing phone calls, delivering on customer needs and assisting all walk-in customers at the branch.
Works the “open orders” report and “back order” report daily to make sure customers are getting their orders in a timely manner.
Responsible for the RMA processing at the branch.
Assist the warehouse as needed with pulling/receiving orders and/or unloading/loading trucks.
Orders supplies and keeps the branch stocked with office supplies. Stock received supplies and manage inventory.
Conducts specialty projects and performs other related duties as assigned by management, or to fulfill the “Primary Function” of the job.
Completion of High School degree with 2-3 years of sales & customer service experience
Must have solid computer skills including strong MS Excel background
Forklift experience is a must
Must possess ability to work independently but function as a strong member of a team
Knowledge of company products, the industry, competitors, and basic business concepts
Must have excellent problem-solving skills, be detail oriented and organized
Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time.
