Original job description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, responds to customer inquiries and ensures customers’ needs are met regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices & quotations, complaints, returns, shortages, adjustments, expediting and requests for literature. This position also handles all walk-in customers and their needs. This position will also provide support preparing customer orders in the warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Services incoming calls by taking and processing local orders, responding to technical questions, entering sales notes, and tracking shipments.

· Promotes and maintains good customer relationships by servicing phone calls, delivering on customer needs and assisting all walk-in customers at the branch.

· Works the “open orders” report and “back order” report daily to make sure customers are getting their orders in a timely manner.

· Responsible for the RMA processing at the branch.

· Assist the warehouse as needed with pulling/receiving orders and/or unloading/loading trucks.

· Orders supplies and keeps the branch stocked with office supplies. Stock received supplies and manage inventory.

· Conducts specialty projects and performs other related duties as assigned by management, or to fulfill the “Primary Function” of the job.

· Completion of High School degree with 2-3 years of sales & customer service experience

· Must have solid computer skills including strong MS Excel background

· Forklift experience is a must

· Must possess ability to work independently but function as a strong member of a team

· Knowledge of company products, the industry, competitors, and basic business concepts

· Must have excellent problem-solving skills, be detail oriented and organized

· Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time.
